Agreement
By accessing and using medeirosj.com, you agree to these terms. This website is operated by Joe Medeiros Web Design, based in the Atlanta metro area of Georgia.
Services
Joe Medeiros Web Design provides custom web design, development, and related digital services. All project work is subject to a separate written agreement or proposal outlining scope, timeline, deliverables, and payment terms.
Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including designs, code, text, images, and the geometric background pattern — is the intellectual property of Joe Medeiros unless otherwise noted. Portfolio items shown are used with permission or represent concept templates created by Joe Medeiros.
Concept Templates
Concept templates displayed in the portfolio are design demonstrations and are available for licensing. They do not represent active client relationships unless explicitly stated.
Limitation of Liability
This website is provided as-is. Joe Medeiros Web Design is not liable for any damages arising from the use of this website or the information contained within it.
Care Plans & Website Subscriptions
Care Plans and Website Subscriptions are recurring monthly services billed via Stripe. Website Subscriptions (Starter, Growth, Pro) require a 12-month minimum commitment. Care Plans (Standard) may be cancelled with 30 days notice after the first billing cycle.
What Is Included
Each subscription tier includes a specific set of services listed on the services page at the time of signup. Included hours reset at the beginning of each billing cycle and do not roll over to subsequent months. If included hours are exceeded, additional work will be quoted separately and billed as add-ons.
What Counts as a Revision
A revision is any content change, minor design tweak, or small feature addition within the included hour allowance. Major new features, redesigns, third-party integrations, e-commerce migrations, or custom development work outside the plan scope will be quoted separately. Estimates for out-of-scope work will always be provided in writing before any billable time is spent.
Ownership of Work Product
After the 12-month minimum on Website Subscriptions, you own all custom code, designs, and content produced for you. You may export your website and move it to any hosting provider. Third-party licensed assets (fonts, stock images, plugins) remain subject to their original licenses.
Early Cancellation
If you cancel a Website Subscription before completing the 12-month term, you may buy out the remaining term at 50% of the outstanding monthly fees. For example, cancelling at month 6 requires payment of 50% × 6 remaining months = 3 months of fees. Care Plans may be cancelled anytime after the first billing cycle with 30 days notice.
Plan Changes
Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Downgrading resets the 12-month minimum term.
Payment Terms & Failed Payments
Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe on the anniversary date of signup. If a payment fails, we will attempt to charge again within 7 days. If payment continues to fail, the subscription may be paused (limiting portal access) or terminated at our discretion. You are responsible for keeping payment methods current.
Service Level & Response Times
Response times listed on each plan (business hours, 24 hours, priority, same-day) are targets, not guarantees. Emergency situations (site down, security breach) receive priority regardless of plan tier. Response time targets exclude weekends and US federal holidays unless otherwise specified.
Hosting Included Plans
For plans that include hosting (Growth Care, Premium Care, and select Website Subscription tiers when available), hosting is provided through third-party services under our reseller accounts. If you cancel your subscription, we will provide reasonable assistance in migrating your website to a hosting provider of your choice, but this migration must be completed within 30 days of cancellation.
Client Portal Access
The client portal is provided as-is for account management, request submission, and report viewing. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication. We may suspend portal access for accounts with unpaid balances, security violations, or suspected unauthorized access.
Website Audit Reports
Our free website audit provides scores and a preview of issues based on Google PageSpeed Insights and our own technical checks. The paid full audit report is delivered instantly after payment and includes detailed findings and recommendations. Audit reports are provided as-is for informational purposes. We do not guarantee that implementing the recommendations will result in specific outcomes such as improved search rankings, traffic, or conversions. Payment for audit reports is non-refundable once the full report has been delivered.
Template Purchases
All template purchases are one-time transactions delivered as digital downloads. Two license tiers are available: Standard License requires the footer credit link "Built by medeirosj.com" to remain visible on any live deployment of the template. White Label License permits full removal of all Medeiros J Designs branding. Both licenses permit use on unlimited client or personal projects but do not permit resale, redistribution, or resharing of the template files themselves.
Digital downloads are non-refundable once accessed. Download links remain active for 30 days from purchase. If you experience issues accessing your download, contact joe@medeirosj.com within 30 days for support.
Consultations
Free consultation calls booked through Calendly are exploratory conversations. No work commitment is created until a written proposal is agreed to in writing. Consultation slots may be rescheduled or cancelled up to 24 hours before the scheduled time. No-shows without notice may forfeit future scheduling privileges.
Payment Terms
All payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars unless otherwise stated. By purchasing, you authorize the charge to your selected payment method. Chargebacks or disputed transactions without prior communication may result in permanent account restrictions.
Intellectual Property
All content on medeirosj.com including designs, code, text, images, and templates is owned by Joe Medeiros or licensed for use. Template purchases grant a license as described in the Template Purchases section above. All other content may not be reproduced without written permission.
